The module on Sustainable Consumption has really made me start thinking about my own consumption habits. I like to think that I'm quite an aware consumer who only buys the stuff I really need. However, over the last week I've started noticing the little thing that I buy and consume without thinking, like a bottle of water (even though there is nothing wrong with the water from the tap), disposable coffee cups, a new sweater (even though I already have like 50 - but this one was on sale!). It all adds up to a whole lot of stuff I didn't really need.
What is even worse, is all the stuff "everyone else" consume! I can't help but look at people's shopping bags and think to myself - 'god you're selfish!'.
But the truth is I'm not much better myself...
